Keep in mind, that connected buildings will all receive the full damage if you throw an artillery right between them. Hit as many as you can with a single shot. Terror: If you don't need the Barrage/Artillery for mines, use it on non-defensive buildings. If you throw them at FTs, you should shock those, otherwise your Critters will be burned to death within seconds. Use Critters to distract SLs, BCs, Cannons, SBs (Single-Target weapons). The 2 buildings can sometimes save a shock bomb.

If I don't need the arillery for boom mines and if there are 2 buildings connected that I can destroy with max 2 artilleries, I use it on them. OR if you wasted so much artilleries that a Barrage will be equally expensive and help more. Use your Barrage only if you can kill multiple mines (3+) or 2+ boom mines. The Shock Bomb has a diameter of 6.4 tiles. Save your GBE and use 2 medkits instead, this will counter them easily in most cases. The Smoke on the HQ needs to cover the whole HQ! Not just a part, otherwise you will lose a lot of power. There are very rare exceptions where you shouldn't do this, but those bases are often very critical. If you face a beach-base, you need to throw 2 smokes before you even land! There shouldn't be any buildings that could uncover/split your warriors under the smoke. The bigger the building you flare to, the more your warriors will spread underway. Throw an extra flare to a MAX 3x3 building and proceed from there. If you need to walk a big distance, only walk straight or diagonal paths (free of obstacles that could uncover your warriors). Sometimes it's wise to use and extra flare to go to a checkpoint, before you aim for the HQ! If there are long paths to walk, I mostly use 3 flares in total, except if I can walk a single straight line all the way to the HQ. If you walk a path and there are buildings on the way, your warriors will split. If there is a single unprotected building at the beach, it makes no sense to waste your smoke on it. Choose a building that is already protected. Flare to a 3x3 building (max 4x4) soon after landing and smoke it (group the warriors together). This saves a highly expensive shock bomb. I often counter MGs and FTs with medkits. If you're past HQ19, you can distract BCs and Cannons with Critters. I often go after Boom Cannons too if I can afford another Shock. Naturally: Always try to shock as much as possible. You should sacrifice some of the guardians for those.) After HQ20 I played with 3 RR statues to max up all LCs, which was a cakewalk.
